asprin. it opens up the veins in the plant so they draw more water in.
Any tips of how to keep flowers fresh for as long as possible in a vase?
put a copper penny in the water. No idea why, but it works.
Hey, i wonder if they will last even longer if you put a copper penny in with the lemonade recommended by others - throw in an aspirin too for good measure and don't forget the panadol. lol
Just joshing, but the copper penny really does work - i just don't know why.
Reply:Crumble up a half aspirin into the water........ it works...
Reply:if you just wanted flowers to stay as fresh as possible. put it in yer fridge. the fridge will keep all the moisture in.If you want it for decoration, I would suggest putting it in cool water and in a shaded area.
Reply:Change water daily and trim the ends. Slant wise. Also, try putting a Panadol in the water.
Reply:Dissolve an aspirin in the water.
Reply:Lemonade!!!
It's true - put some flowers in water and the same again in lemonade and watch the ones in the water die long before the others
Reply:First when you cut them or get them cut them on a slant, keep them in fresh water cool water, and they always like the sun, so it might help if you put them in a place where the light can come into the room fully. Does any of this help? I hope so.
Reply:Add an aspirin to the water as well as some crystalized plant food. This will increase the longevity of your flowers.
Reply:The reason lemonade works is because it has sugar %26amp; lemon juice in it.
The trick for freshly cut flowers is to trim the ends on an angle, remove some but not all of the leaves, and in the water put a little bit of lemon juice and a little bit of sugar. They will last a lot longer that way. (lol, you don't need to use lemonade...)
Reply:drop an aspirin where keep your flowers, it helps them to keep them from dying so fast.
Reply:put it cold place,
Reply:Try putting a little soil in the pot to keep mthe flower going.
