Flower science fair project?
Okay, ask a question and I'll be happy to answer. BTW, you might do better in Science and Mathematics/Biology.

Fresh Cut Flowers Petals curling??

Why are the petals curling under??

They are in a vase with water..... no soil.

Fresh Cut Flowers Petals curling??
Can you include what TYPE of flower you are talking about? Where do you have the vase? Is a heat vent blowing on it, on the refrigerator, or on top of the television?

I'm giving you another shot at a response, though last time I replied to your question about cutting stems and changing water, you included a pretty snotty reply after you picked your best answer. I really dont' care which answer you pick, but it would be nice if you were polite and didn't have a smart response for how you already knew what the proper answer was.
Reply:Ive heard that 1/4 viagra will keep your cut flowers fresh for weeks
Reply:Maybe its the heat? Do they need sunlight? Do the need cooler temperatures?

I really don't know much about it but look into the flowers a bit more.

Whats the best flower or veg. to plant in the summer?

I am kinda to planting seeds.. so im not sure how to start but it reaches around 70-90 degrees where I live is it too late to put down fresh seeds? I wonder if this is a dumb question lol..

Whats the best flower or veg. to plant in the summer?
In most of the USA, it's past the time for planting. I start with vegetable seeds indoors about 5 weeks before the last frost and then plant them outside.
Reply:No, not too late... DEpending on your zone, you can very well start growing fall veggies like peas, lettuce, kohlrabi, bok choi, etc.
Reply:No, it is not a dumb question. Gardening season is just about over in the USA. You will need to wait until next spring after the last frost before planting most seeds outdoors. The night temps need to be around 68 degrees and up before planting.

During the winter, go into the internet and learn how to plant the seeds you have. Some need to be soaked before planting. Some need to be put into the fridg for about 6 weeks before planting. And so on. Do research.

Where is the best florist in Singapore which have reasonable pricing and fresh flowers?
Cheap %26amp; Fresh will be from the local wet markets, u can get roses, lilis, chrysenthumums, diasies %26amp; others I dunno their names..
Reply:Stay away from SingaporeFlowerShop.com. They did not send the flowers that I ordered, did not reply to TWO emails that I sent regarding my order (despite the fact that they specifically state on their website that they will get back to you in 24 hours), YET they charged my credit card. Reply:how about sending a pot of cactus? or a pot of flowers?

seems more suitable for a guy than a bouquet.

sorry i havent got any to recommend you. actually the previous answerer is right. some wet markets' owners' do a mean job of doing up a whole bouquet and its a lot cheaper.

What floral arrangements or centerpieces can I do with Tiffany Blue?

I really want to have a Tiffany Blue wedding but I'm not sure what floral arrangements or centerpieces that will look good. I love fresh flowers so I would like to have them. My colors are Tiffany Blue and Brown.

What floral arrangements or centerpieces can I do with Tiffany Blue?
Talk to a florist-they have really creative ideas.
Reply:Pale pink looks lovely with the tiff's blue and brown. Imagine glass cube vases with soft pink spray roses, soft pink stock, white hydrangea, white roses, soft pink waxflower, queen annes lace for a beautiful romantic garden look... brown napkins... A favor wrapped like a tiffanys box with the white bow at each plate. to tie in the look.. :-)
Reply:Try some of these ideas:

1. Tiffany blue daisies:

http://www.save-on-crafts.com/tiffanyblu...

2. http://www.wedding-decoration-idea.com/a...

"**For a more dramatic, striking decor, match up the Tiffany blue with shiny black and silver. Go with a formal theme for this - pure elegance with sleek centerpieces. Skip the flowers and float balloons at each table - black, white and Tiffany blue.

**Deep, rich jewel tones are a wonderful accent to the bright sky blue of Tiffany boxes. Try a shimmering satin in burgundy, or a rich, deep emerald.

**For a more lighthearted look, choose jellybean green and white to set off the aqua. Play it out with favors of Lucite gift boxes filled with JellyBelly jellybeans in honeydew and berry, all wrapped up with a Tiffany blue satin bow.

**Create a backdrop for white flowers and blue ribbons with chocolate brown tablecloths. Fill Tiffany blue round bandboxes with chocolates, and top with tulle-wrapped Jordan almonds in blue and white."

3. Go with baby pastels or white flowers, and accent with tiffany blue crystals, ribbon or even glitter

4. A large, clear glass candleholder (hurricane lantern type?) in the center of the table with tiffany blue glass beads in the bottom and a white candle would be beautiful for a centerpiece.

5. Or, a large martini glass filled with blue jellybeans and/or blue jordan almonds...

6. http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/Results....
Reply:Blue conveys peace and tranquility. I would go with a lot of white and a few pale blue flowers in the arrangement in a translucent vase. You can fill the vase with marbles or colored stones which add a nice touch too.
Reply:Examples of other Tiffany Blue weddings:

http://www.brides.com/weddingstyle/decor...

http://www.brides.com/weddingstyle/decor...

***http://www.brides.com/weddingstyle/decor... MY FAVE!***
Reply:I would use a cream coloured rose or other type of flower it also depends on the month ,you could perhaps save some money if a flower is in season. Keep your arrangements low .

Congratulations!
Reply:I think it would be best to stick with shades of creme for your flowers. Larger arrangmeents of calla lilies, peonies, roses, and tulips would look lovely in a silver urn or caniset. Mix in some foliage of hanging green armathus and greens.

Have some cystal sparys through out the arrangments, table top linens in Tiffany blue with brown napkins and silver chargers would be lovely.

How can I air dry fresh flowers?

Flowers are a symbol of beauty and exude freshness all around. However, fresh flowers have a short shelf life. Drying flowers using the right technique can result in preserving them as close to their original form, flexibility, color and texture. There are many methods that are used to dry flowers.

Pressing is the most popular form of drying fresh flowers. Flowers are neatly straightened and kept between sheets of paper and weighted. This ensures that the pigments are not lost and the color is retained. Special devices called plant presses give excellent results. This method should be adopted when the flowers are fresh, so that they remain so in the dried form. Violets, pansies, larkspur and ferns preserve well when pressed in this manner. These dried flowers can be arranged in framed displays.

Air-drying, also known as "hang and dry" method, is the oldest and simplest method for preserving flowers. The flowers are collected, tied and then hung upside down in a warm, dry place. Since the flowers are dried in air, the method is referred to as "air-drying." The darkness helps retain the color of the flowers. Flowers such as baby's breath, cattail, celosia, dock, goldenrod, heather and pussy willow preserve well when stored this way. Blue and yellow flowers retain their color whereas pink flowers fade.

Flowers are also dried using desiccants. Embedding the flowers in a granular, desiccating material is considered the best all around method to dry flowers. The flowers are covered with the desiccant so that their form will be maintained.

Water drying is also used to preserve fresh flowers. Here, stems of the flowers are initially placed in a couple of inches of water, the water is allowed to evaporate and be taken up by the cut flowers. The container and flowers should be in a dry, warm and dark location. Hydrangeas, yarrow, bells-of-Ireland and celosia dry well with this method.

Most people pursue drying and preserving flowers as a hobby. Even with the increased popularity of synthetic flowers, many people still prefer the real flowers preserved in a lifelike manner.

Drying flowers is an inexpensive way to achieve a beautiful arrangement of flowers that would normally cost you approximately $35-$50 dollars in a retail or craft store. The process is really quite simple, and you can customize your own dried flower arrangements with the sorts of flowers that are pleasing to you. Dried flowers make excellent centerpieces, gifts, and bridal bouquets and wedding gift bouquets; the bride will get to save her bouquet forever if the arrangement is dried, and the wedding party will have a bouquet that will also last forever.

The technique is simple. First of all gather the flowers to be dried. The best flowers for drying are wildflowers, Roses, Lavender, Larkspur, Dahlias, Geraniums, Marigolds, and just about any flower that has a seed head (Poppy seed heads for example). However, experiment with different varieties of flowers, you may get a wonderful surprise.

I have always gone into my garden (and sometimes along the roadside where there are multitudes of beautiful flowers), and snipped the flowers right as they are about to bloom. Cut the flower so that quite a bit of the stem is intact. Cut more flowers than you think you will need, because some of the flowers will not survive the drying process, and will come out rather hideous looking. Remove all foliage from the flowers. If you like, you can also save pods, berries, and small branches from the flowers as they make a nice addition to the dried flower arrangement. The pods, berries and branches can be dried in a small bowl.

Next, take 4-5 of flowers and their stems and place them in a paper bag with salt. Give the bag a few shakes, and remove the flowers and stems. The salt will help the flower to keep its color. Lay the flowers outside (if it is hot and dry) for a day or so, as they must be completely dry before you hang them in a dry place. If it is raining, or not very hot, then you can place the flowers on a table in an attic, or in a room that is without a fan or air-conditioning, and the room should be void of dust and sunlight.

Next arrange your flowers into bunches of 5-10 (depending on the size of the flowers). At the very bottom of the stem, bind the flowers into a makeshift bouquet and tie loosely with string. Don't tie the stems too tight, or use rubber bands, as this will cut into the stem and the flower will begin to decay and discolor too quickly.

You will need a room that does not have dust or direct sunlight. For this purpose, I have always used my attic. Attics are great places, as they tend to be dark, dust-free. and dry. Don't use a basement, as they tend to be damp and humid. You can also use an unused, empty closet.

In an attic, you will usually have overhead beams. On the beams, you can hammer nails directly into the beams, and hang the flowers upside down by the string. If you need to use an empty closet, you can hang the flowers from old hangers, or stick-on hooks attached to the walls within the closet. Hanging the flowers upside down will allow the flowers to take on a life of their own; they may curl in unusual shapes, and develop unique winding curves.

Depending on the type of flower, air-drying can take up to 4-6 weeks. You'll know when the flower has completely dried because the stems will be brown, and the flower petals will have closed, and display a hue of it's former color. The flowers will also have a crunchy feel to them.

Once the flowers are dried, you have a variety of choices. You can make your own flower arrangements, by placing the flowers in vases of colored glass. You may also tie them together with a pretty ribbon and display them on the wall. Giving bouquets of dried flowers is a beautiful gesture, as the flowers will never rot or die.

Some people like to keep collections of dried flowers in baskets placed on top of a mantle piece, or on the hearth near a fireplace. These are lovely presentations, however, take caution if you have pets because some of the flowers, even dried can be poisonous to some pets. Check with your veterinarian.

Experiment with different sorts of flowers, as some flowers seem to dry better than others, and in some climates, particular flowers can be successfully dried, where as in other climates, the chore is impossible. Be creative, and have fun!

How can I air dry fresh flowers?
As beautiful as those flower deliveries look when they arrive on your doorstep, you can bet your money on the fact that they won't stay that way. Eventually they will wither and die. If you want to preserve their beauty and keep them forever, try air-drying them. To air dry fresh flowers follow these steps:

Arrange them when they look nice—long before they start to brown or wilt.

Tie a small number of stems together and hang them upside down.

Remove the leaves and hang the flowers in a dark, dry venilated place that is cool.

The drying period will take a while so leave the arrangement be for a week or two. Then, check to see if the flowers are crisp.

When the flowers are dry, store them in boxes or paper bags.
Reply:Take them out of the vase, tie a string around the stems, and hang them from the ceiling, and then wait for a few days or more.

WHat materails keep flowers fresh after picked?

my freind and I are doing a science experiment and we need ideas

WHat materails keep flowers fresh after picked?
Here are a few ideas that you might try. Most have been tried and thought to help in keeping cut flowers fresher longer.

Use a sharp knife or shears to cut stems on a slant under running water. Cutting them straight across tends to block absorption of water.

A penny and an aspirin tablet placed in the vase water keep flowers fresh longer. The theory is that the copper acts a fungicide and the aspirin makes the water more acidic. Here are more food + acid combinations:

Add one part lemon-lime soda (not diet) to 3 parts water. Then to each quart of this solution, add 1/4 teaspoon bleach. Thereafter, add 1/4 teaspoon bleach after each 4 days of use.

To 1 quart water add 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon bleach.

Add 2 ounces Listerine mouthwash per gallon of water. Listerine contains sucrose (food) and a bactericide. Listerine is acidic and is said help water move up the stems.

Remember that whatever the methods you use you must have a control trial to compare to.
Reply:They say "sugar" keeps carnations.
Reply:Some people just put their freshly picked flowers in a vase with water. But since you're doing a science experiment, I suggest you use abscisic acid. This is a plant hormone which inhibits gowth and promotes dormancy. This will prevent the buds from blooming fast or the opened flowers to die quick.

Hope i did help ^^,
Reply:adding a pinch of sugar to the water helps, as does putting a copper coin into the vase (copper helps inhibit the growth of mould and bacteria). also, keep flowers away from fruit (ripe fruit releases the gas ethylene which will cause the flowers to age and wilt faster).

How will i go about in importing flowers from Vietnam?

Hi. I'm interested in importing fresh cut flowers from Vietnam.

I actually have a contact already but we're not sure with how/to whom we should be shipping our flowers and what are the required documents. And how much, probably, it would cost us. T.y.

How will i go about in importing flowers from Vietnam?
Where do you want to import it to? If to the US, your flowers will need to be quarantined. After weeks of insecticided, fungusided, it will be no longer fresh.
Reply:As the other poster noted, you do not state where you want the flowers to end up. If it is the US, contact the Department of Agriculture about the proper license you need to import agricultural products. You don't specify the type of flowers you wish to import so it is hard to give you a price.

Flowers are imported to the US all the time. I believe that most of the roses sold in America are imported from Africa.

Only live animals need to be quarantined since gassing them with insecticide would defeat the purpose of importing them. lol

Can you plant flowers that have been cut already?

I'm wondering if it is possible to plant flowers(like roses you may give for a gift) in the earth, for example your backyard. I have some for mothers day and thought it would be great to plant them and have fresh cut flowers sometimes. Thank-you.

Can you plant flowers that have been cut already?
No. I am a florist, and there is no way for a cut florist-shop rose to grow roots. The best you can do is find out the variety of rose that you have (you can ask the florist where they came from - bring the rose to them) and then try to find a full plant online. All roses have names such as Freedom or Goldrush, etc., and plants can generally be obtained.
Reply:although most of the time once you cut the flowers they have died there is a way that you can actually grow a rose-bush from a cut rose but you have to sacrifice the flower so this negates the enjoyment. (I can't remember the technique right now but ist is labour intensive and you might get 1 or 2 successes from a dozen roses)

Why not get some plants anyway of the flowers you most enjoy and grow them. It is fun to pick flowers from your garden.
Reply:No, hon, sorry but you must have roots for flowers to grow. Enjoy your roses while you can. Take pictures.
Reply:I hope the question and answer will help you.

You've got to be gentle when handling the flower. Make sure the flower stays clean and bug free--tearing off the petals is a BAD thing. Don't do that.

DO you have any flowers growing in your yard?

I LOVE flowers. I hate working outside, but I love to look at them out my patio window and I love to arrange fresh-cut flowers. Tell me about YOUR flowers.

DO you have any flowers growing in your yard?
117 different kinds all over my yard, both back and front. I too hate working in the garden so I have flowers that grow every year, never need weeding... I love it! I always have fresh flowers in the house, from spring to fall. The trick is to put in flowers that have different growing times.

I have:

roses

phlux

poppies

daisies

black eyed susans

irises

lilies

wild flowers

azalea tree

lilacs

and tons of others...
Reply:Asian Lillies, Roses and Rose of Sharon, very pretty and colorful.
Reply:I have pentas and vinca blooming like crazy in my front yard. My backyard has hybiscus, canna, butterfly bush, lantana, plumeria and angel trumpets blooming.
Reply:I was only going to do veggies and herbs this year to really master them, but I got seduced by the beauty and snuck in some flowers with no knowledge of what to do for them...

sunflowers--grew two seeds from the bird feeding black oil seeds in a tall rectangular plastic cat litter container that i spray painted royal blue. they grew, flowered and made early seed, but in the end needed more space and keeled over. left them on the ground and the chipmunks greedily and aggressively harvested the immature seed. guess i would call this a success.

cosmos--from seed. started the short kind and the tall kind in short and tall painted cat litter boxes, again. short kind is fine, but tall kind keeled over again, but pretty flowers...

sweet williams--bought these from nursery, both the mini mini kind and the 10 inch kind. these are the best flowers ever. they withstand any kind of tough condition--heat, drought (from forgetting to water), heavy deer foraging, and they just keep coming and coming... I'm having these every year... and i'm growing from seed next year.

nasturtiums--from seed %26amp; purchased. right now heat and aphids are killing them. but they were glorious, easy and even edible, if you like cress and such. I loved eating the leaves in salads and sands, but while many rave about eating the flowers, I'ld rather look at them. they should revive themselves come fall so i'm letting them be...

short hybrid nicotiana--could not resist these pretties at the garden center. who could? and like the sweet william they are strong--they too have withstood supercrowding, heat, drought of a forgettful gardener and heaving deer foraging and wow at certain times were like a heavy ball of flowers. Unlike their bigger natural cousins, the scent is not as strong, BUT twice I have seem a hummingbird hovering around them...

sweet peas--startedf from seed in cups. came up so strong. had so much to do that they stayed in cups until they were 2 feet, lol. transplanted a few really late, way after their season and got 1 flower, lmao... still, that one flower is the prettiest flower ever (curled like a pea flower, but larger, almost pearly and a rich deep red-purple), so will try again next year. think if i had transplanted in time, would have been no problem. they were strong and vigorous.

I'm now more excited for flowers than veggies... and am going to seed some seeds this fall and let them weather over the winter and bloom next early spring (I hope!)--poppies and sweet peas... when i think of how well they did with my ignorance, neglect and abuse... i'm really excited to think how pretty they might be next year when! i do everything right!
Reply:i love the spring bulbs such at crocus, tulpis, daffs, hycians, and iris are simply the best. they take so little care and will bloom any where from march till aug. after they bloom you can mow or weed eat them down (or cut them the right way) and all of these come back year after year. iris need very little dirt, love sun, little water, and you can just set them out and they will root themselfs all the above can be planted in or out of flower beds, i have them all planted around trees and rocks and lining the fence. if you want a great tree go for a paulowania emperess tree (chinesee dragon) fast growing (6-10 foot a year) blooms early spring and has leaves as large as dinner plates!!
Reply:i don't have any yard...but if i do i would love to have lots of sun flowers
Reply:I have hundreds and hundreds but to lazy to type them and cannot spell half them.

You could scatter small basketballs on the table and small pieces of curled ribbons in your school colors, or if you find the tiny mini kind on a stick or ones you can attach to a skewer you could make your own basketball bouquet for the centerpiece. Add ribbons in your school colors. Also, check Dollar Bill type stores for mini basketballs, etc. What about a couple of helium balloons in school colors? If you are doing enough you can buy a small helium tank and fill the balloons yourself. Another cute idea is buying inexpensive plastic tableclothes in school colors and with empty toiliet paper rolls make poms for the table center. I've also found M %26amp; M type candies in bulk and scattered those across the table top for a fun and yummy look.

Have fun and cheer your team on!
Reply:Can you get practice balls and old nets from the school and use those? Perhaps intertwined with a little ivy or placed on some scrap hardwood flooring (donated by a local flooring store).

What's the team mascot - maybe that could be used in some way? Wayyyyy back when I was in highschool, I played lacrosse and the team mom got those brown paper lunch bags and used markers of our team colors and drew paw prints (we were the tigers) and made like 5 or 6 per table for the "bouquet". At the end of the lunchean we were able to take a bag with us and it was filled with candies and fruit and honestly, we were thrilled with it and it was easy, cheap and quick cleanup...
Reply:I would say a cupcake with an basketball frosting or mac and cheese i really dont know!
Reply:go to a 99 cent store

and try to find basketball shaped bowls---they are really cute

if you can't find any---buy orange bowls

add a mixture of popcorn and cracker jack to your bowls
Reply:Find copy or design miniature basketball courts with colorful backgrounds on the computer. Maybe just draw the lines like on an actual court (not players). Print out each on 11X17 sheets of paper. Make sure background of paper contrasts with actual banquet tables or tablecloth on each table. Laminate paper. Use as a centerpiece for each table, or placemats for each setting. Goto Big Lots, or Family Dollar and buy small plastic basketballs. Glue one on the center or another location for each centerpiece. Maybe if they have toy miniature people in gym outfits, tiny basketball hoops or something like that could be added to random table courts for uniqueness. It would give 3 dimensional quality, and create conversation if someone notices the difference in the table decorations.
Reply:There are many ideas on the net. Just enter basketball or sports theme centerpieces.

Or, get creative... how about a large card holder with photographs of the team throughout their season? Perhaps one collage (double sided) that you've had printed up... (landscape so people could see over it).

Or... cut a basketball in half (old trashed one) invert it... and stick

those tinsel picks in school colors.

My wedding colours are chocolate brown, light blue and ivory.?

I am having trouble finding true chocolate brown flowers. I would like to use ivory roses and some brown flowers with a blue ribbon. I would like to use fresh flowers. Could anyone send me some information on brown flowers and pictures if available. I live in Toronto, Ontario.

Thanks

My wedding colours are chocolate brown, light blue and ivory.?
i don't think there is such a thing..... i would do ivory flowers with blue accents and a thick brown ribbon.
Reply:i don't know of any brown flowers, but have you thought of combining ivory roses and light blue flowers with a brown ribbon? it may be easier to find that....congrats and good luck! i love the colors you chose!
Reply:that is a hard one, dip some roses in chocolate! I have never seen brown flowers, and I worked in a nursery at the beach, I will be back with some links if possible...................

you might just have to have some made, silk flowers, because there ARE brown flowers, but none pretty enough for a wedding, the link I found they look like a burgundy brown. but they are pretty.
Reply:Knot Note:

Think brown is a tough color to incorporate in your arrangements? It's not -- Leonidas and terracotta roses, cosmos in shades of chocolate, and even hypericum berries, which come in several shades of brown, will all make a rich contrast to warmer shades (such as pink or yellow) in your centerpieces and bouquets.

from here:

There is a small pic there too.
Reply:dont think theres such a thing as brown flowers srry
Reply:Well, that's because technically they don't exist in nature! Not "flowers"; there are other things to put with flowers that are brown that exist in nature, such as brown hypericum berries.

There are also brown cosmos, which are a flower %26amp; are technically not brown, but they are close %26amp; they are referred to as brown.

Just recently someone has bred several rose varieties together and come up with a hybrid rose that looks brown.

I would ask my florist if they can order these for me!

Help with keeping old bathroom smelling fresh?

I have two bathrooms in my home. I use a Glade plug-in in one bathroom, but the other one has no eletrical outlits at all.

I need something in this bathroom more than the other one because it's the main bathroom.

I've used dried flowers in a bowl, but that didn't seem all that helpful.

Does anyone have some advice for me?

Help with keeping old bathroom smelling fresh?
Go to www.scentsy.com, they have candle warmers I'm not kidding gives amazing scent to your home. I don't sell them I just buy them. EVERYONE has made a comment on how nice it smells, they can go in any room. I suggest the cucumber lime scent it is really fresh smelling.
Reply:Bathroom smells are due to bacteria... you've got to get rid of the bacteria rather than just putting some fancy smell over it...

Clean your bathroom with a water and bleach solution (50-50). It will kill the bacteria. You may need to do it more than once for the smell to be gone once and for all. In my opinion, nothing smells worse than bathroom smells with a flowery scent...
Reply:There are those new Whispy Puff air fresheners

or even the Glade one that's a fake candle - no outlit needed.

How do I get my guy to stop using my deodorant?

It's too weird having my guy smelling like Flower Fresh deodorant, but he just keeps using it every time he comes over.

How do I get my guy to stop using my deodorant?
Buy him his own. Make sure it's a masculine scent.
Reply:That is kinda strange! Have you talked to him about it and how much it bothers you? You could always make subtle hints to him about how much he smells like a woman!
Reply:Change it's location and in it's place put a small travel-sized male deodorant.
Reply:Hide your and buy one that you would like to smell on him to leave out where he can find it.
Reply:Please don't put anything nasty on that stick, you don't want him to disappear completely, do you? Buy him his own deodorant and put it right next to yours, or change the location of yours and put his new one where yours used to be.
Reply:You can hide it; or you can try cutting off the top portion of your deodorant then put something nasty like cream cheese in it's place (make sure to "sculpt" it to make it look like regular deodorant). This might do the trick.
Reply:cover your stick of deodorant in butter
Reply:Have you discussed why it bothers you to have him smell like flowers? Its just a scent. Don't get worked up.

Tips for selling an appartment?

My apartment is going on the market for sale, going to be sold by an estate agent. Have you any tips on how to make it more attractive to seduce potential buys? It’s spotlessly clean, in perfect condition with a beautiful terrace bursting with plants, so that’s not my question. I was told for example to remove photographs and have fresh flowers in a vase. Have you any other things like that to suggest. Thanks a million.

Tips for selling an appartment?
you need to make the illusion of there being much more space in each of the rooms, do this by removing any ornaments that take up considerable space, tidying all curtains back neatly, making the windows clean, as to give the viewer a good feel of the outside, almost trying to bring the main highlights of the external features in the inside of the house, make sure the house is well lit. remove any uneccasary personal belongings, remember you are trying to sell you property to another person, they need to be able to visualise what it is going to be like for them living there. try adding a fruit bowl on the dining table for additional show.

good luck.
Reply:Just make sure that you keep it clean. That will be the most important thing. As for remving the photos and pictures from the wall i wouldnt unless you are packing them. You want it to look lived in but clean.
Reply:sounds like you've done all the right things, good luck

How do you get pesticide-free flowers or ensure that they are? And how do you clean pesticide flowers ?

How do you know if a flower is pesticide free ? Can you simply wash/rinse flowers with water to remove pesticides - for fresh flower cake decorating ?

How do you get pesticide-free flowers or ensure that they are? And how do you clean pesticide flowers ?
The only real to make sure that they're free of pesticides is to get them from a florist. They will honestly tell you if they have pesticides on them. But just washing them will get almost everything nasty off of them, so that will work too.
Reply:Most, if not all, of the flowers that are purchased from any source contain pesticides. If they don't contain pesticides then they are certainly have some particles of dirt on them. For use on a wedding cake flowers should be rinsed, washed with an extremely light mix of dish detergent and water (1/2 teaspoon to 1 gallon of water), and then thouroughly rinsed again. Dry the flowers and put them into a bucket of clean water before using on a wedding cake. Make sure to dry the flowers completely before placing on the cake.

Best Wishes!

I need to aquire a state tax ID number to purchase flowers wholesale. I am not a business. What do I do?
Just go and apply for a tax id number that simple. Come up with a name for your hobby company its that simple. You can even file taxes at the end of the year in conjunction with your normal taxes. A company can show a loss for the first 5 years so this can come in handy such as buying that new computer or what ever that you might use in your business, it can be used as a write off on your taxes so it is pretty much free. there are many ways to get tax cuts with having your own tax id number. :%26lt;)
Reply:I would contact a friend or associate with a buisness license and buy it through them. Offer an incentive.
Reply:Call the IRS and see what they say...cant hurt! I just got off the phone with them and got my tax ID number in a matter of 10 mins.

Redwood Bark in Flower Beds?

I have used redwood bark in our lovely garden flower beds. Usually I have this removed yearly and soil amendment added before applying fresh bark. While planting my spring flowers I found the much of the bark is imbedded into the soil (a mess). There seems to be more bark then soil. What do you suggest

To get the flower beds back into correct condition?

Redwood Bark in Flower Beds?
Mulches such as redwood and cypress are both impressive and expensive. Unlike other alternatives of the hardwoods they do not decompose quickly or cleanly.

Where a customer insist on either of these mulches I spread a 2"layer of a double/triple shredded hardwood mulch first. Atop of that I add a maximum of 1" of the more decorative mulch. The hardwood will breakdown into soil much quicker. The combo works well.

Unless you excavate the site the redwood is there to stay for some time. Till the soil as best you can. Take a sample of your tilled soil to a reputable garden store for a soil test to see what your additive needs may be. Given it's very nature the redwood will not become soil for many years.

Another possibility that is both labor and cost intensive it to rejuvenate the soil and plant your spring/summer choices. Do this through landscape weed-block cloth. You can mulch over the cloth and when you remove the plants in fall simply remove the cloth and mulch.

Make your presentation of plants the focus of your garden not the mulch! Use the hardwood mulch for a few years and spend the savings on upgraded plant material.
Reply:It's always best to remove as much of the mulch from the soil as possible before continuing planting. I just finished dealing with a gardenbed that had the same issue. I took a sharpshooter shovel and broke the soil into 6" deep clods (ours has a lot of clay in it, so it was holding together). Then I broke up these clods of soil by hand, picking out the mulch, and any grubs, in the process. It took me about 3 weekends to complete the reworking of my garden, but I'm so glad it's done now........it's a lot of work, but you'll get good results.

The other option is to shovel off the layer of soil mixed with mulch, then replace the lost soil with compost and/or purchased garden soil.

How do I create an effective frequent buyer program for my business?

Business is high end gift items. Specifically cake and fresh flowers along with designer dishware.

How do I create an effective frequent buyer program for my business?
YOU CAN SET UP A MINIMAL % DISCOUNT TYPE "CARD"....

LIKE A 10% OR 15% DISCOUNT CARD....AND DISTRIBUTE

IT OUT TO ALL YOUR CONSTANT / REGULAR CLIENTELE....AND REFRESH THE CARD AND YOUR CUSTOMER-LINE ONCE A YEAR......

YOUR CUSTOMERS MAY "MOVE-ON" FROM YEAR TO YEAR

AND YOU DON'T NEED TO CARRY THEM ON YOUR RECORDS.....

YOU CAN ALSO....SET A %-TYPE DISCOUNT CARD, THAT YOU CAN MAKE "ONLY "FOR YOUR CORP. TYPE BUSINESSES........AND HAVE THE "UPPER-ECHELON" MGT.

HEADS TOO HAVE THE "DISCRETION" TO PASS OUT TO THE PEOPLE THAT THEY SEEM FIT TO HAVE THE PRIVILEGE[S]....OF THE "BUSINESS-DISCOUNT" THAT'S AVAILABLE THROUGH YOU.....

YOU'LL BE ABLE TO PULL BUSINESS FROM BOTH ENDS..

GOOD LUCK ......

PLUS ...REMEMBER THAT YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE "SOME" WELL EARNED........"WRITE-OFF"......WHEN TAX-TIME ROLLS AROUND..........
Reply:Betty,

Actually need more information to really help you - there are many types of frequent customer programs - it depends on what you want your end result to be.

There are anytime purchase discounts, monthly or quarterly discounts, free product...special items just for frequent buyers...there are a lot of ways you can go with this.

You can use discount cards, mailings, point of purchase flyers, phone solicitations...

feel free to e-mail me if you would like and I can help you out.
Reply:I work in a casino in the promotions dept. We track our players via a card that they use in the machines, then we are able to swipe the card at the promotions counter, view their tracked play, and issue them comps, etc. Talk to your register people ( like Micros ) to see if you are able to do this. You could swipe their card at the time of their purchase, and keep track of how much they are spending in your store. It could even double as a gift card since you could put set amouts of spendable cash on the card as they hit specified "tiers". If not, use the sub sandwich type card and a unique stamp with your company logo on it to track purchases. Good Luck!
Reply:giving discount on your newly n special products.discount card points but never forget the quality of sevice
Reply:I would like to just say that you should be focused on your buyer requirement, which is not only related to product but also provide services free of cost. your customer is your asset, so consider any buyer that he is special buyer, whether he buys or not, I am just telling to you, you can start any program, but the way of your successful program to consider the importance of buyer ( not in the form of profit but in form of relationship)........
Reply:Ther are many things to do and many ways of doing it, but since you are new to this, start small. Give coupons to get a percentage off the next buy or create callenders that gives some discount every single month. Vary the rate of discount. Weaker months give larger discounts. You can give six freshly cut flowers for free if the high end dishware bought is expensive. It has to be attractive but you must not be a looser in this either, the deal is to encourage you to get more sales by givng a little more than usual but not giving all. Study you items, study your sales and see what you can afford to give. After planning, jump into action! Creating an effective frequent buyer progam is a good way to maintain business and or increase business.

Why does my Green Basalisk look skinny? They do eat crickets, right?

He has fresh flowers,I spray his aquarioum almost every hour, and he has plenty of crickets running around,he has a log to relax on too,and a rock to bask on if he is cold. Why is he not eating? It doesen't look like he is?Any tips.

Why does my Green Basalisk look skinny? They do eat crickets, right?
Even though he has a "hot" rock he needs additional heat from above. I reccomend a heat lamp shining down from above. He also should have a special UV light to simulate the sun's rays. You can find reptile lights at any good pet store. Put a themometer somewhere in the tank. It should be between 70 and 80 degrees. They won't eat if they are too cold because they can't digest their food. If he still doesn't eat after warming the tank find a vet that sees reptiles. He may have parasites. Good luck!
Reply:I'm not sure about the eating thing, but I can say that you should get rid of the !@#$ hot rock. I hate them with a passion, hence the cartoon expleteve. They are simply too hot, they will burn your reptile, I know many people who are trying to get them banned because of all the severely burned reptiles out there. And many beginning herpers are duped into buying them, only to have their reptile die. Get a heat lamp or under tank heat pad. My snake has an UTH (under tank heater) which I would recommend to any herper.

Sorry I couldn't be of any help on the eating problem, but I just had to tell you how dangerous hotrocks are.
Reply:Basilisks are omnivorous. They don't just eat crickets, try offering him a variety of food..

they will eat crickets, mealworms, silkworms, goldfish.. They also enjoy greens, grapes, carrots, bananas... If you offer him some variety in his diet it might stimulate his eating!

hope this helps.

Is it tacky at a wedding reception to have plastic plates?

I am in the process of planning a wedding. We are going to have table linens and napkins. I also plan on having the tables decorated with candles and assortments of fresh flowers. Some on high pilars and some just as a spray on the table. Basically it is going to look somewhat elegant. Is it going to look tacky if the catering company only serves food on plastic wear? I personally want china, but trying to cut the cost of the catering down. Using china will cost at least an additional $8.00 per person which equals at least an extra $1500 plus to our bill. Any suggestions????

Is it tacky at a wedding reception to have plastic plates?
Sounds like your tables are gonna look about the same as mine. I am using plastic/paper plates (not sure which yet). I just figure that the tables will look pretty before and after everyone is eating because the plates will only be at the tables during dinner. And it is WAY more practical and affordable to just use the throw-away plates. I don't think anyone will really care to be quite honest. Try to get the thick, clear plastic plates. They look really pretty.. well, as pretty as plastic can get!! :) Save your $1500!! You will be happy that you did later.
Reply:It's not tacky if the disposable plates etc. are decent looking. A lot of people do plastic or disposable plates and you can find some REALLY nice ones that look just like regular china. My caterer has this ingenious plastic-ware coated in silvery that looks exactly like silverware! Incredible!
Reply:for cost sake plastic is not that bad
Reply:Elope!!!
Reply:Check on what form of plastic plates they plan on useing...if it's like BBQ style then maybe look into other options, but we used the pretty clear ones that looked like they had etching in them or something, and nobody noticed or had any problems....they were a nicer version of plastic but WAY cheaper and I promise the plate they eat off of will be the last thing they remember, especially with all the cool stuff on the tables. look into the clear pretty ones, I think they would be a good compromise!
Reply:Do what you want....it is your wedding!

Reply:Don't worry about the plastic plates ,that should be the least of your worries people wont remember what kind of plates you had if the food they have is Delicious
Reply:Everyone going to your wedding bought you a gift- estimating $30 or more. Times that by the amount of guest and see if the extra cost is worth it for your guest. Remember if these gifts are extra help so you don't want to get too cheap with your guest.

Plastic tends to leak and break it is a very uncertain material. Your guest are also in their best threads so take that into consideration. My best suggestion would be to purchase fancy plastic wear. It was in a 'Martha Steward's' magazine. I guess now they make plastic wear that looks like real china and has a thick texture. It is made in different colors, styles and designs. I believe it can be found at places like 'Cost Plus', 'World Trade Market'. It is very chic and youthful.

Good Luck and Congratulations!
Reply:Just be practical. Who are you trying to impress? Just be a terrific wife, the wedding is nice but it is just one day.

Read Dr. Laura's The Proper Care and Feeding of Marriage for great advice -- even if you are a natural at relationshiops, you can always learn something.

Congratulations!
Reply:If your budgetdoesn't allow...go with the plastic...I'm sure they will be goodquality. I've seen beautiful plastic serviceware. Do what make s you comfy in your budget
Reply:Hi-

I am under the same situation. I am having an outdoor casual reception and a formal wedding at a historic church (odd combination huh?) Our caterer provides all the plastic silverware, plates, and cups...but it seems too picnic like to me. We are having table linens, and napkins as well as candle centerpieces, and I don't want it to look tacky; but like you I don't want to add that extra money onto the budget for plates that we will use for 4 hours, and then have to wash and return.

Here is what I have thought about doing, to create the illusion of elegant without the cost. My local discount store Big Lots, has silver and gold chargers on sale. A 4 pack of round chargers is $4, normally $5 (still a great price). I can buy them now, and then sell them later online. I'm going to my local craft store/party store, and they have heavy duty plastic plates in my color. It looks less tacky than normal paper or plastic plates. They also have napkins, cups and cutlary in my color. I have also seen cutlary that looks real, but is plastic. It has a little more weight to it, and is the color of real silver.

If you still don't like the idea of plastic, look online. Many people are finding it cheaper to buy than to rent plates, so you may be able to find a deal on one of the local auction sites.

Good luck!
Reply:I think that having plastic plates would make the reception a lot more informal...but then i don't think hungry folks really care...or would even remember...is there a way that you can get the plates (you want)...and maybe engrave your names and the wedding date...never mind that is going to be a lot of money...if you want to shell out the extra $1500 to make your day happier i say do it...it could be worse...i heard a couple had there reception at Golden Corral...
Reply:it depends what kind it is. If its like plastic picnic ware then go for the china.
Reply:I don't know where you live, but if you go to some wholesale places like Sam's or Costco you can buy "commerical" flatware for $7 for forks (36 ct) and $12 for knives (36 count) and it's made out of stainless steal. It looks like real flatware and it won't matter if it gets tossed at those prices (compared to a rental company w/ expensive flatware that you pay 4x what you paid if something happens to it!). They also have assorted sized cups (beer, tea, lemonade, water, soda, etc). I think they had 9oz, 12 oz and 16 oz all for under $8 and varying amounts (the 9oz cups had like 200 and the 10oz cups had like 100, etc)Party City has awesome heavy duty clear plastic plates/bowls and then get color coordinated napkins (My caterer keeps telling me that it's almost bad taste to mix real/fine china w/ plastic anything so we're doing either or and not mixing). I'm getting married in July and we're considering going with plastic. Our only concern is w/ wine glasses. We don't like the plastic ones but we might have to bite the bullet and use them since we will be able to save about $1000 by going plastic. Bottom line is that it's your wedding so you have to do what you want and what you like. My family swears no one will remember what they ate on - only what they ate. I keep hearing that a lot of people go with plastic that it's not worth paying breakage fees after the wedding. Again, it really just comes down to personal taste and your wants...it's YOUR big deal do what YOU want and what YOU (and your family) can afford. At the end of the day, you'll be married to your new husband and having china or plastic plates won't change the joy %26amp; happiness %26amp; love you'll feel that day.
Reply:I strongly disagree with fatiegurl! Having china isn't going to make your day happier. That's just bull. You're going to be happy regardless, because you're getting married!!!

We are doing plastic plates, and I see nothing wrong with it. You can find really nice plastic silverware and plates for a fraction of the cost. If it's not in your budget, then it's not in your budget.

But again...real China isn't going to make you any happier.

What is the most tragic suicide that you've personally dealt with?

Sorry if this topic upsets anyone, but I'm trying to work through my own pain of losing someone close to me, and talking about this helps. A few months ago the girl who was to be the maid of honor at our wedding killed herself. Sarah believed that she screwed up a college entrance exam that she thought would be her last hope for a career (after being out of work and depressed for over a year). She laid out on the railroad tracks after getting drunk on liquor, and apparently was motionless (passed out) when the train operator hit the brakes too late. It totally devastated her family, my Fiancee', everyone. Her entire family is on medication now (including two sisters and a brother), no one can work, and they visit the grave site every day with fresh flowers hoping a miracle will happen. Now the worst part. She had actually been accepted by the college, and the couriers had screwed up the delivery of the acceptance notice. Sooooooo tragic. The parents have the notice framed and up on the wall at home as a source of pride. Their pastor has mentioned that they need to get on with their lives, but they can't. They have turned her bedroom into a sort of shrine.

I really don't know what to think about this as it is all like some kind of terrible nightmare, I don't think I've really heard of any other worse than this. We feel like we are the only ones who have to go through this. Thanks for listenening.

What is the most tragic suicide that you've personally dealt with?
Last February my boyfriends mother killed herself, his brother found her in the basement after drinking an extensive amount of anti-freeze. They did an autopsy and found it in her stomach.. so tragic.

My boyfriend doesn't talk about his mother, and it worries me too. He seems to be numb from any pain that he might have felt after she killed herself. I'm currently trying to encourage him to go to therapy.

My father died in 2000 and it was a very tragic loss for me, I was very close to my dad, he didn't kill himself however, but the loss of a loved one is very difficult to deal with no matter how they died.

My suggestion would be to find a support group in a local church or talking with a grievence councelor of some kind. Support groups can help a great deal because you won't feel so alone, and you will find that many people have a lot in common.

I live in Michigan and there are support groups of suicide survivors located throughout the state, there might be one where you live as well.

Reply:You are not alone, that's for sure. Suicide is a terrible thing, I tried to kill myself when I was a young girl and of course did not succeed. All I can tell you is at the time I wasn't thinking of what would happen afterwords, where I would go when I died and I wasn't thinking of what my friends and family would have to deal with afterwards... I was being selfish only thinking of my pain and my pain really wasn't nothing that bad. Well that was a long time ago and since then I have had to deal with my husbands mother killing her self , a year later his father, I have had 2 friends kill themselves and a little over 2 years ago my mother's husband killed himself. It has showed me how selfish this act is, because of what your family and friends have to go through and it is just awful. I have God in my life and it helps. I believe it is a sin to take a life God gave you and throw it away like it was nothing, but I also think God holds a special healing place for these lost souls. I can't tell you it ever feels better, because that pain is always there, but it does seem to ease as time goes by. As for your friends family all you can do is be there to listen to them and help keep her spirit alive, but you have to go on with your life believe me your friend in heaven realizes what she has done now and she would not want you to dwell on this all your life. I am very sorry for your loss. Take care.
Reply:I can relate to your feelings and tragic loss as my son's best friend killed himself just 5 months ago. He was only 15 yrs old and his mother found him hung in his closet. My son has Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome now and is seeing a counselor. What makes the situation worse is no one had no clue as to why he did this. I find myself wondering all the time "what could I have done to help him" but in reality he was obviously suffering from the inside over a deeper issue than anyone could see. It really messed my son up he is now on anti-depressants, can't go to school, has nightmares, and is agoraphobic (can't leave the house" so I know first hand the tragic and devastation of going through the suicide of someone close to your family.

To Flower, or Not TO Flower?

my wife has started a new job and i bought flowers today, a nice fresh arrangement of stargazer lillies, wild roses, etc. and took them to her with a card saying how much i loved her and was proud of her completing her first week.

she got so angry at me and said i didn't listen to her because she had told me before she didn't like fresh flowers and that i shouldn't have wasted the money on them.

i took them back to the florist and bought her something else, which she immediately loved and thanked me profusely for.

is my wife nucking futs? or what....help.

To Flower, or Not TO Flower?
Yeah, she's a loon.
Reply:That was so sweet of you ... my auntie sent me flowers my first week of work too ... it made me cry ... I felt so special ... your wife must be nuts ... even if she doesn't like fresh flowers ... it was still very thoughtful ... !

It sounds like she's very specific with her gifts ... some people are like that ... don't hold it against her ... try to remember in the future what really makes her sparkle and what makes her angry ... good luck dude ... lol ... !

Don't forget your greens and babys breath
Reply:try cosco or sams club.
Reply:Wow! Why don't you try someplace like, GardenRidge, or my favorite, Michaels, or Hobby lobby
Reply:I ordered tulips from a place online. www.growingtulips.com. they were very affordable and they send them by the stem. They're shipped from the netherlands and I had mine shipped in July and were cold packed and arrived great. I'm sure they'd arrive just as well or better this time of year. Good luck.

Where to buy floral oasis ball in singapore?

I'll make a fresh flower ball. I need to find the floral oasis, it's usually in green colour.

-- thank you

Where to buy floral oasis ball in singapore?
There is a shop off the lobby of the Conrad Centennial Hotel in Marina Bay district that has what you want.
Reply:Go to your nearest florist or flower shop and ask to buy a floral oasis in the shape of a ball. There are different sizes, so be ready with this information. If the florist doesn't have it, it can refer you to another florist or where to find it. If you need it soon, you can buy the oasis block and make it to shape like a ball.
Reply:costco or walmart

What was your flower budget? What did it come with?

I am trying to come up with a realistic budget to give my florist when I find one... I want to be VERY stern and stick to ONE number not going over, since we have already found ourselves overbudget.....

I have 4 bridesmaids, 4 groomsmen, I dont need tall centerpieces but I have candleabras that can use a fresh flower wreath on the tables to tie our wedding colors in. 10 round tables of 10.

What was your flower budget? What did it come with?
This is going to vary so much depending on where people are and what kinds of flowers they used. The only way you're going to be able to know how much flowers will cost you is to visit some florists in your area. Talk to them about how many flowers you need for centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, other decoration (church, flower petals, etc.) and what kinds are availalbe for what prices at the time of year you're having your wedding. Get several estimates before deciding.

In Chicago, I paid $281 for flowers: my bouquet (lilies and roses), my MOH's bouquet (also lilies and roses, but smaller), seven rose boutonnieres and six orchid corsages, for a late-spring wedding. Our centerpieces are fruit, and I don't need flowers or petals for additional decoration.
Reply:My florist has really worked with me. I wanted very simple arrangements for the centerpieces, just gerbera daisies, but when I went in for a quote she showed me how plain it would look if I did just the daisies. She put an arrangement together for me that I thought I wouldn't like but ended up loving it. My total flower cost was 850.00. That included

13centerpieces

my bouquet

2 bridesmaid

1 flower girl basket

grooms boutonniere

5 groomsmen boutonniere

sign in table arrangement

sweetheart table arrangement

2 mothers corsage

grandmothers corsage

5 aunts corsage

set-up and delivery

If you are on a budget, like I was, make sure you let the florist know. A lot of times they will work with what you have to spend. I got quotes from 4 florists before I chose this one.

Good luck to you
Reply:We had the same number of attendants as you are.

Firstly, the budget really depends upon the types of flowers you are going to use - that can make it vary widely.

Our flowers were just under 800. My bouquet was a handtied European bouquet, quite large, with a mixture of roses, mums, lilies, orchids, alstromeria, carnations, etc. in different colors. Wedding colors were pink, lilac, yellow, and light teal. The bridesmaids had smaller versions. Guys wore bouts of mini carns. There were only a few additional bouts and corsages. Cost also included two large centerpieces, which we used for the church, and later on the head table at the reception.
Reply:You don't have to have a florist, you could do the flowers yourself for a lot less. BUT since you want one it seems, I would go without the wreath at the bottom of the candelabra. I can imagine that getting really expensive really fast. I have 4 BMs and GMs too, with 3 MOB, MOG, and SMOB. My BMs bouquets are going to be small, with daisies. I wasn't even going to give them bouquets, but someone suggested we could take them from them after the ceremony and incorporate those flowers into the centerpieces because really, who wants to carry around a bouquet all night? not me.. But I am the bride. I don't know what our flowers are costing us, because his parents are paying for it. But our whole wedding is only costing about 4000. Hope yours works out.
Reply:your flower budget will depend on what you want. what is important to you. it can be very pricey. youwill ahve to talk tot he florist because depending on the type of flowers you want, will depend on the cost. my flowers are costing me about $1000. but i have a large party. 8 girls %26amp; 8 guys. plus parents %26amp; grandmother corsages. i also decided to do 2 big flower sprays for the church. bows for the pews. i have chosen roses for my wedding flowers. but my bouquet will be made of 3 dozen roses %26amp; my girls made up of 18 roses. so it also depends on how many flowers you actually want.
Reply:It WAS $288, but will be much less now that I am making myself a crystal bouquet. I am simply getting flowers from an online florist, and making my own bouquets. The Knot website has videos and step-by-step tips on how to make your own bouquets. That amount included seven attendants, wedding/toss bouquet, four long-stem flowers, arrangements, and 20 centerpieces.
Reply:I paid 85 dollars for mine...a bundle of star lillies and mini cat-tails in autumn colors,...corsages for my three daughters and my Mother, boutineers for the groom, best man %26amp; my son....they were beautiful, fresh and vibrant in color..and I got them from the floral dept of a local grocery store! For price I would check out grocery stores with floral depts for a price quote along with local florists...also consider silk arrangements...many craft stores will custom make arrangements and I have nothing against a beautifully done silk arrangement..even in the bridal bouquets...almost wish I had gone that route as a second time bride I had a lovely town hall ceremony and a home buffet reception-no garter or bouquet toss, and I would have loved the keepsake.....good luck.
Reply:From memory, I might be off a bit, but...

1 brides bouq. (calla lillies)

2 bridesmaids bouq. (calla)

6 bout. (calla)

10 centrepieces (low glass bowls with floating flowers and candles)

Spray of flowers at arch (it was an outdoor ceremony, there was a wrought iron arch already there)

Rose petals sprinkled on the aisle

I think thats the whole list. Came to 2,000. In CA.
Reply:We are spending about $1000 for the following:

6 bouquets, including one throwaway bouquet

9 boutenierres

4 corsages

1 flower girl kissing ball

10-12 centerpieces at $40-45 a piece depending on diameter.
Reply:We only spent $85., but the only flowers we got were a bouquet for me and a boutenniere for my groom. We were married on the beach in St Thomas, so Mother Nature provided all the beauty we could want.
Reply:What is your budget? Your flowers should be 7-10 percent of that.
Reply:maybe you should try garden ridge their flowers are very cheap and beatiful.
