add a drop of lemonade next time
Reply:First be sure that the stems are cut at an angle so the flowers can more easily absorb water. And yes, things like sprite, sugar and aspirin added to the water will make them last a little longer.
Reply:Roses are delicate and don't last long once they've been cut. It helps to use special plant food provided by the florist, or put a teaspoon of sugar in two cups of water and put the mixture in a vase.
Reply:Anytime you get cut flowers, you need to clip off the cut end (1"), preferably under water. The stem has sealed over to prevent air from entering the stem. When you recut the stem under water, you reopen the channel so that the flower can absorb water. Some people add sugar to the water, others add an asirin, and still others add the little packet that sometimes comes with cut flowers. Change the water at the end of a week and repeat the cutting process. If you keep the vase of flowers in the refrigerator at night, they will last longer, as cold slows down the deterioration.

You can try recutting the stems, but if the buds are already drooping, it's probably too late to save them.
Reply:I heard if you put sprite instead of water it keeps them alive longer, also if you put a penny at the bottom of the vase they will live longer
