A couple drops of clorox in the water, and recut the stems every couple days. Keep the water changed probably every day so it doesnt get slimy and stinky.
Reply:When you get your cut flowers home, fill the sink with tempid water and place the flowers in it for 10-15 minutes. Then trim 1-1 1/2 inch from the stem at an angel, but make sure you cut the stem under water. Cutting at an angel creates a larger surface for the flowers to draw water from, and cutting under water ensures that there is not air pocket in the stem. Fill a vase with tempid water and arrange the flowers. Change the water in the vase every couple of days. It is also a good idea cut another 1/4 inch from the stems when you change the water. You can also add half a can of Sprite to the water, or a cap full of Clorox bleach, or half and Aspirin. I know it is a lot of work, but you can keep you flowers lasting for weeks.
Reply:the best thing i use is fizzy pop or fizzy water
Reply:I use a little bit of sprite and drop an ibprofen in the water too. that what the lady told me when i bought my last flowers. change the water about every other day and use fresh water not tap.
Reply:My mother in law swears that some Sprite in the water keeps roses looking new for a week
Reply:Dissolve an aspirin in the water. Of course this works better in warm water. Or, you could just use a BC powder. It works wonderfully. Make sure that what you use is actually aspirin.

Be sure to keep your stems trimmed. Always cut them at an angle.

Good luck.
Reply:cut off about an inch or more, put them in WARM water..change the water everyday.
Reply:quickly and gently burn the fresh cut tips on a hot pan...
Reply:Buy food for plants in any Walmart. It usually comes in a bottle.
Reply:Change the water daily, cut stems at an angle in the bottom and remove the leaves that are in the water portion to keep the water from contamination. Hope that helps, good luck.
Reply:The little packets you get is basically just sugar. To make them last longer, just add a little sugar to the water. Crush up two Asprin (not ibuprofen) and add it to the water. Works great too. Remember to snip the ends a little bit every day to every other day. The flowers seal themselves at the end preventing any of it to get in. I've never tried it, but I've heard cheap vodka works great too. Good Luck.
