~*Flowers Fresh or Fake: Which one is best for the flower girl to throw*~?

God brought you %26amp; your honey together, so why not use what he made!

~*Flowers Fresh or Fake: Which one is best for the flower girl to throw*~?
I am using fake petals, for the flower girl just because she is so young (2). Also because I am using them to decorate around my cake and my head table. But fresh flowers are always nice to.
Reply:The flower girl should toss fake flowers or dry flowers because you don't want to stain your gown just walking down the aisle.

For my wedding, I am giving my flower girl dry flowers from the bouquet of flowers that my fiance has given me in the past.
Reply:Most churches won't allow flower girls to throw flowers anymore, because of the stains that they create when people walk on them. A great new trend with flower girls now is a ball of flowers attached to a thick ribbon which the flower girl just carries down the aisle. It is a great way to still have a flower girl, and not get those red rose stains on teh bottom of your white dress!!
Reply:Fake.

If you step on a real flower petal, which are on the floor now, then you could crush the pulp and color into the floor. This can even leak through aisle runners, and then you'll be charged a hefty cleaning fee.
Reply:Real ones that's my opinion
Reply:If the ceremony is indoors you better check if its okay to have fresh flowers. Most places don't allow it because they stain the Carpet's or floors. If its out doors I'd definitely do fresh for sure.
Reply:Definitly fresh. I think the fake ones look ugly and cheap
Reply:I think fake flower petals are better for them to throw... cause then you can use them to decorate with after you get your own place set up.... i put our wedding pic in the middle of a shelf and then put the flower petals all around it....it looks great... but you can use your own ideas.... i just think fake is better... but it depends on what you want. and Congrats on the upcoming wedding
Reply:Either is perfectly fine! We used fresh but it's just as easy to buy fake ones, and those you can keep and decorate your photo album with. :)
Reply:For my wedding i used both real and fake
Reply:fake flowers. I have a catalog of flowers on my website. check it out below. I have a catalog that I can email to you also if you want.
Reply:a friend of mine recently got married this summer..the one thing she said she wishes she could do different was flowers. She had all real flowers..which was pricey. She said she wishes only her bridesmaid had real flowers and everyone else had fakes.
Reply:Seeing as the flower girl usually throws flower petals, real would make more sense.
Reply:Depends. Using real white or softly coloured (pale pink, pale purple) petals is wonderful, because they real petals fall more prettily than fake ones, and won't leave stains in the carpet when they're stepped on.

Fake if you want something with a darker colour, but they won't have the natural effect of real petals.
Reply:Having been a flower girl, I would say fake is perfectly fine. The great thing about fake flowers is she can keep the arrangement for years to come as a happy memory of that day. I still have the little basket of flowers I carried from my aunt's wedding - 22 years ago plus.
