Take about 1/2 teaspoon of bleach and add to the water or a disprin can also do the trink.

What I can suggest is that you change your water every 2nd day and walla the flower will last longer.

Take Care
Reply:Sugar in the water is meant to make flowers last but you have to make sure you cut a few centimeters off the stems each day and change the water..
Reply:put an aspirin in the bottom of the vase.
Reply:Warm water and sugar
Reply:actually most are old wives tales. It depends on the flower. in general change the water every third day and recut the stem at the same time. Clean water, clean vase fresh cut are all key. Bleach, asprin, are all to prevent bactiria which if you do the above you do not need. Sugar or 7 up, does not do to much at this stage of the flowers life. That is good for flower production not preservation.

As a florist for the past 15 years I recommend Clean water, clean vase fresh cut are all key. Keep flowers cooler, away from any heat source (TV. stove) (also away from direct sunlight)
